SATENA increases flights in March to strengthen regional connectivity

Bogotá, march de 2026

In a country where air connectivity is decisive for access to essential services, trade, and territorial integration, SATENA announced the operation of additional flights during the month of March on strategic routes. This initiative aims to meet demand and guarantee passenger mobility in regions with limited ground infrastructure.

The operation strengthens routes from Bogotá to destinations such as Inírida, Mitú, Puerto Carreño, and Corozal—territories where air connectivity is fundamental for accessing essential services, supplies, and community mobility. Additionally, the airline expanded regional connections from Medellín (Olaya Herrera) to Tolú and Acandí, facilitating travel to areas with high tourism potential and ground connectivity challenges, while simultaneously boosting economic activity and local development.

"The scheduling of these additional flights responds to our commitment to guaranteeing connectivity for these territories, especially in regions where air transport is not a luxury, but a necessity for the communities," stated Major General Óscar Zuluaga Castaño, President of SATENA.

Throughout the month, additional frequencies will be available on specific dates, allowing for an increase in seat capacity to meet peak demand in air corridors of high social and economic relevance. This operation not only addresses mobility needs but also contributes to energizing local economies and strengthening the flow of travelers to emerging destinations.

"Every flight we operate in these regions represents a development opportunity. We don't just connect destinations; we connect communities with opportunities, services, and well-being," added the airline's president.

With these types of initiatives, the airline continues to consolidate its role as a key player in the country's regional integration, bringing air connectivity to where it is most needed and contributing to the development of communities.
